The Critical Role That Planning Plays In Weightlifting Success

Staying motivated during your fitness journey can be tough. Going to the gym or working out at home can sometimes feel like a full-time job in itself.  It's a normal rut to get into, just stay there too long and don't let it get the best of you.  It's especially frustrating for you when you are not seeing the quick results you had envisioned with your fitness goals.  Don't stress and don't worry.  Keep at it and keep checking back to this fitness source.  One day when you least expect it, you will look in the mirror and see a difference, trust me.  And, when you do it is an excellent feeling.  So, at all costs try to avoid burnout.  In this fitness source, I will try to provide content to keep you motivated.  


REMEMBER to always go back to how you felt and what your goals were when you first started working out.  Go back to that day that gave you that burning desire to start.  Here are 7 tips to keep you motivated from DAY 1.  Being a new person in the gym or working out at home, it's important to take these first steps to begin your journey to building quality muscle and overall health for your mind and body.


1) Take before photos.  This may difficult because you just simply may be unhappy with your image.  Don't be, take those photos and they will motivate you later on when you achieve your goals.  

2) Create realistic expectations for yourself.  Even though we may not achieve the exact physique we want, we still need to create goals that are reachable and build off of that.  Building goals keeps you motivated.

3) Take measurements.  This will be a motivating factor when you start shedding the pounds or putting on muscle. 

4) Research.  There are a ton of resources online that will help you learn what your goals are and how to achieve them.  Research as much as you can about the goals you want to achieve from dieting to the workout routine.  

5) Keeping a Log.  Keep track of your food consumption to ensure you are getting the proper amount of daily nutrition.  Your going to want to keep a log of your workouts to see your progression.  

6) Mix it up.  Change up your workout to stay fresh.  This first few weeks is something new to your body.  Between 4 and 16 weeks your body becomes adapted to the workout you are putting it through.  You want to keep shocking your body for change and growth or weight loss.  

7) MUSIC.  Listen to music when you work out.  Studies have shown that when we work out and listen to music our stamina and drive increases.

Why (These Free) Workout Apps Should Be In Your Plan

Being a beginner in the gym or at home, there are many ways to stay organized while working out and creating fitness plans.  Some people feel comfortable wrtiing them down in a journal or notebook.  Or, with the technology we have nowadays, we can you or electronic devices (i.e., phones, tablets, laptops etc...).  It is all about what works for you that you can achieve your fitness success.  Staying organized and motivated during your workout routine is important and there are so many FREE apps available to you.  Some apps, maybe not just limited to this site, will keep track of your diet and workout as well as provide routines for you.  Each of them provide various experiences, so you have to find what works for you and your plan.  For the ones provided below they are free for basic plans it appears, but some may offer extra options or so-called "in-app purchases".  Again, what works for you may not work for the next person.   

Upon doing some research, I chose 5 FREE TOP HIGHLY RATED EXERCIESE/WORKOUT APPS THAT YOU CAN DOWNLOAD AND USE.  These are in no special order and are free to download.  In the next blog, I will create one for fitness such as running apps.  The links are click through directly to each site.  These are merely informational for you to use or choose not to use.  But it will get you on the right track as to what your looking for.  In the event I do get commission on anything in my blogs, I will make you aware, plus it is in my disclosures linked on my blogsite.  I do participate in affiliate marketing, but I will make sure to promote good sources of fitness information and products when they become available.  I will provide you with the best workout information as possible and wish I had the resources of the internet when I first started out.

As you continue to read, I have created an icon from each individual website.  The logo itself has a link embedded in it to the official site of the app.  Then, for convenience, I created links for Android and Apple users to each workout app.  I am not promoting anything for these apps, apple or Android.  I know from my experiences I use Apple and it has been great.  Everybody has their own preference so I wanted to include both options for your fitness needs and success.
